The higher heat losses of the thermopot make it necessary to keep it permanently connected to the power supply to ensure the set temperature of the water poured into the tank of the device. 

The heating element in this technique is installed at the bottom. It can be a disk or spiral. To heat water to the required temperature, you must fill the tank and press the power button. 

When its contents reach the set temperature values, the unit will turn off and notify you of the completion of the process through the indicator. You don’t have to tilt the Thermo pot like a kettle when you want to pour heated water into a glass or other container – press a special button or use a manual pump. 

Modern Thermo pots have different modes of operation:

  • Maintaining water temperature in the range of 40-100 ° C
  • Providing for a delayed start, providing heating of the tank’s contents by a particular hour.

There are a few of them, and they are ambiguous. For example, it is considered a disadvantage that it takes more time to heat water than if it is done with a kettle. But the criterion of cost should not become decisive. One should not give preference to equipment that is sold at a bargain price. Try to determine first whether such savings are due to the quality of the thermopot or insufficient functionality. The thermopot will serve you for more than one year, so its operation should be convenient.

The composition of water that flows from the taps of our apartments is rich in chemical elements. For the appliance to serve for a long time, it is desirable to wash it often, but it is better to wash it daily with a sponge with clean water or a solution of special detergents.

Ideally, it would be good to rinse the thermopot after each use and not leave boiled water in the tank for a long time. But then, it will not differ much from a teapot. Therefore, go the other way – use purified water by installing a filter system under the kitchen sink or bottled drinking water. In this case, it will be possible to clean the thermal pot much less frequently.

Sometimes with the removal of the scale, there are difficulties. It is due to the peculiarities of the composition of the deposits. We’ll have to try to find an effective purification technology. You can also clean the thermo pot with soda every three weeks or a month. After completing each cleaning procedure, boil fresh water in the tank several times, changing it after each boil.
